Neuma Selects CM Crossroads for CM+ Discussion Forum

Ottawa, Canada - September 21, 2005 - Neuma Technology today announced its selection of CM Crossroads to host its CM+ public discussion and support forum. CM Crossroads was chosen because of its prominence in the industry and because of the related services it provides to the Configuration Management community.

Neuma’s customers and prospects have been asking for a public forum so that prospective clients may exchange information with current users. As well, it provides another entry point for tapping Neuma’s own knowledge base.

With CM+, it’s especially important to have wider access to a public forum. Paul Bérubé, Neuma’s Director of CM+ Product Engineering explains, “Because CM+ has so many features and capabilities, a wider exposure is important to ensure cross-communication on the features and how best to benefit from them. As well, a public forum is the ideal place to exchange add-on applications developed using the RAD capability of CM+ Enterprise.”

As a third generation CM system, CM+ Enterprise has a lot of features and capabilities that are not widely available in the rest of the CM industry. A public forum will provide a critical component of the education process. “People want to explore CM+ features before they’re trained, while they are still evaluating the product,” says Bérubé. “It’s one thing to have on-line documentation and vendor pre-sales support. It’s quite another to have the benefit of the experience of the user community. And they can use this forum to help expand their CM evaluation requirements beyond their own experience base.”
